At first glance, it seems like a traditional scenic toile du jouy design in blue-black on white. It's only upon closer inspection does the scene come to life: a pair of dilapidated mobile homes, broken-down vehicles in the yard, and a lawn sofa. Oh, and that trashy neighbor is staring you down in her Daisy Dukes. No trailer park would be complete without them, so the border consists of plastic pink flamingos.

Revised in 2018 (the original drawings were rescaled to better fit standard repeats on fabric and wallpaper), this is the classic Trailer Trash Toile design in blue-black on white. 6 x 6 inch basic repeat.

About the Designer

J. Thomson

Studio Ten Design is the creation of artist/designer Jay Thomson. 

Now based in Norfolk, Virginia, Jay spent more than 20 years in Philadelphia, PA. He has designed surface patterns for the Spoonflower and Zazzle online marketplaces since 2011. His interest in surface design grew from a desire to learn how to make his own clothing, since nothing in the stores available at the time suited his style. For over twenty years, he's been making his own shirts and other apparel items.
