About the Designer

J. Thomson

Studio Ten Design is the creation of artist/designer Jay Thomson.

Now based in Norfolk, Virginia, Jay spent more than 20 years in Philadelphia, PA. He has designed surface patterns for the Spoonflower and Zazzle online marketplaces for more than 12 years. His interest in surface design grew from a desire to learn how to make his own clothing, since nothing in the stores available at the time suited his style. For over twenty years, he's been making his own shirts and other apparel items.

Now his designs are available printed on a wide variety of fabrics for home and apparel, wallpaper, home goods and gift ware. Custom knit wear designed by Jay is on the horizon.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

I use 3D rendering technology to illustrate my designs. Illustrations show an approximation of the scale, texture, and color of the product. The actual printed product may differ due to differences in screens and the limitations of virtual previews.

Printed swatches are available, and are recommended to ensure the exact color, scale, and fabric quality are as you expect before committing to a larger order. I have tested every design on at least one fabric or wallpaper type before releasing the design for sale, and I am satisfied that the design is as I intended it to be when I created it. However, different fabrics/wallpapers may affect the colors slightly when printed. When in doubt, test it out!

I want you to be happy with your purchase, and so does Spoonflower (the manufacturer). We have a 60-day 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Please contact me or Spoonflower directly if you have any concerns. Return postage is not guaranteed.

Returned fabric cannot be re-sold, so it is donated to non-profit programs like RARE Bear, or local sewing exchanges. Scraps and fabric that fails quality standards never makes it to the landfill, and is instead shredded for industrial use such as upholstery and furniture stuffing.
